Для всех рецептов действуют общие правила замены материалов:
— 1 предмет зелёного качества можно заменить 2-3 предметами белого качества и наоборот.
— 1 предмет синего качества можно заменить 3-5 предметами белого качества и наоборот.
— 1 свежую рыбу можно заменить двумя сушёными рыбами и наоборот.

Can confirm you can also mix and match individual ingredients. For instance this worked using 3x Wolf Meat & 3x Pork Meat in one individual cook.
you can also use 5 potatoes instead of 4 flours but flour is a better choice because it’s cheaper (1potato = 3-4 flour + 1 point of energie)
Fish can be replaced with 2 dried fish
Clarification; a single green(+) dried fish works as the replacement for the two white dried fishes, as expected.
dried smelt(green fish) still sometimes fails but every other dried green fish I tried works fine

i have professional 3 cooking and successfully getting 3-4-5 good feed with 6 meat 4 flour 3 mineral water and 1 dried fish
After a small experiment at Cooking Skilled 4
3/13 Failed using 5 Deer Meat, 1 Green Quality Fish, 4 Potato Flour, and 3 Mineral Water.
5/30 Failed using 5 Deer Meat, 1 Regular Quality Fish, 4 Potato Flour, and 3 Mineral Water.
In total after both of the above runs I ended up with 93 Good Feed combined.
These results are only after a small sample and definitely needs to be done with a larger sample size since somehow on my sample green quality fish did worse than regular quality by nearly double.
It says on the recipe «1 fresh fish can be replaced by 2 dried fishes and vice versa.» You’re simply failing because you’re using 1.
You can use 1 dried fish but there’s a high chance it will failed. I tried and i failed 1/3 times. Recommend with 2 dried fish.
You can use 1 dried fish or 5 meat. It rarely fails for me (Professional 3) Do not try 5 meat and 1 dried fish because it fails most of the time.

Artisan 7 cook here, wanted to share my own piece of research. I tried the recipe with 5x Lamb Meat, 2x Dried Mullet (green fish), 3x Mineral Water and 4x Corn Flour. You can get a lot of easy dried fish from the nodes near Port Epheria, so meat is the problem.
Using the recipe above I failed 22/150 times. With the normal recipe I would have used 768 meat for 128 successful tries, but with this one I only used 750, essentially saving 2.34% of the meat.
To conclude, at Artisan 7 it is slightly better to use 5 meat instead of 6, but if you take into account the active time you need to spend at the PC to click yes when a recipe fails, it’s not really worth it to do this way. You could gather way more meat in that time anyway
