Патч 5.4: Небесный голем. Т16 Охотников и всякое

Традиционный для ПТР пост-обо-всем-по-маленьку.

Небесный голем
Небесный голем (тот, что был добавлен в последнем билде) на самом деле выглядит КУДА ЭПИЧНЕЕ. Этакий стиль “Гуррен-Лагган”.

МАГМА ТЕЧЕТ В НАШИХ ВЕНАХ РАСКАЛЯЯ СЕРДЦА.

Ну и все такое =) Количество анимаций для обычного инженерского маунта просто колоссальное. Наверное, ни один (даже продающийся в магазине Близзард) не обладает такими наворотами. Супер. Просто супер. Браво!

Т16 Охотников
Затем сет Т16 охотников – он уже публиковался раньше, но теперь обзавелся наплечниками и выглядит интереснее.

Вневременной остров все еще недоступен для изучения пешком, но его явно развивают – появились огромных размеров черепашки с 4кк+ ХП.

Обновленная карта Вечноцветущего дола на русском языке:

Сам дол тоже продолжает меняться. Пузырь Ша убрали. Зато вырезали всех гоблинов-шахтеров, уничтожили все население горного поселка…

Интересный момент: враждебные игроку редкие мобы сражаются с ша. Враг моего врага, по идее, мой друг. Но лут дороже дружбы =)

Поиск редких мобов и охота на них вообще стала проще. Что особенно актуально в свете изменения принципов прокачки репутации с Золотым лотосом. Теперь мобы отображаются на мини-карте и обнаружение нового моба сопровождается мерцанием вокруг иконки-черепа.

В Оргриммаре вроде как появились новые типы войск – безумные инженеры и ученые-гоблины, которые отвечают за обслуживание военной техники.

И, наконец, дорвавшиеся до власти Бейн с Волджином в очередной раз перестроили свои войска. Теперь в форме полу-квадрата! =)

For reference, in order to get to the finished product, you will need raw materials in quantities as follows:

600 x Призрачная железная руда
180 x Черная триллиевая руда
180 x Белая триллиевая руда
900 x Частица гармонии

That last one is going to be a killer to farm. Assuming a drop rate of 1 every 3 minutes (or 20/hour), you’ll only need 45 hours to farm up the motes you’ll need to craft this mount. Obviously, your mileage will vary depending on where you farm, what spec you’re using, and how densely packed the mobs can get without killing you. Nevertheless, you’re still looking at a lengthy investment of time for the one raw material that absolutely cannot be purchased.

Mats alone, this item will market for 45,000gp, assuming you are ONLY paying for the mats and not including a small tip yourself.
I Am trying to find the benefit to either this mount, using my lightning steel ingots for the BS weapons(looks like they are only going to be used as transmog 🙁 or selling the mount after i craft it for 50k roughly.

The mobs in the quest you suggested no longer drop any items and it is therefore not a good place to go farm

The first person I make the mount for wont be AH, it will be for myself

So all you non engies out there be prepared to wait at least 60 days for this mount after it finally does go live.

Even then after 30 days of religiously pressing a button to use a proff specific cooldown…..you wont be getting it at base price, especially when every man and his dog on your respective servers, want quite easily the coolest 2 seater mount in game.

Tho as always im sure blizz will change the mats requirement last minute and we have to buy another 3x 20k vend mat.

Is there any chance of Engineers seeing the new crafted items in 5.4?

That is the plan, though I will be honest that we’re not sure we can make the Skyclaw work. We are currently working on a different Engineering mount. Stay tuned.

SKY GOLEM is the craziest of all engineering mounts, imo. Its a ton of fun to fly, swaying back and forth, side to side, barrel rolls w/a turbo boost all while bouncing off anything you get too close to! The Sky Golem transforms into a robot on the ground. You sit atop his chest which is a big, mean goblin head and the whole thing shakes, ratttles, and rolls with all kinds of steam, whistles, buzzing, and so on.

In the Vale of Eternal Blossoms that has been corrupted by the Sha, you (an engineer of either type) can get a drop of Schematic: Chief Engineer Jard’s Journal off presumably any mob here. I don’t know if it has to be a mob that’s corrupted, but I went with that since it seemed logical based on the research I had done. My journal drop was on my 6th kill, so it didn’t take long at all.

The journal contained 5 new item recipes:

1) Jard’s Peculiar Energy Source ***CAN BE MADE ONCE PER DAY***
2) Sky Golem
3) Pierre
4) Rascal-Bot
5) Advanced Refrigeration Unit

I can’t confirm the journal will have all 5 recipes when 5.4 goes live, but it seems to be what most fan site’s reader’s comments think.

The possible good news about the Sky Golem mount is it at least in PTR it looks like any class can (and did, LOL) have one and is account wide. This I base ONLY on what I saw in PTR. Since there is some potentially pretty nasty bad news, I wonder if Blizz may make it a profession specific mount only.

The possible bad news has to do with the mats which at least for PTR are the following:

1) Quantity 30 of Jard’s Peculiar Energy Source ***DAILY CD***
2) Quantity 30 of Living Steel

I only notated the Jard’s Peculiar Energy Source as being once per day because I didn’t know if any of the other items, both new and old, will or will still have a daily CD. I’m not a pro at this, just trying to help a bit 🙂

Sky Golem is a Goblin Shredder (mount I’ve wanted since I started playing) that flies.

I probably missed something, but can anyone please explain why people are still getting upset that we’re getting the Golem instead of the Claw?

Edit: I was able to make some testing at BETA;

Sky Golem or Piere or Rascal Bot all turns yellow at 605 skill level.

Retinal google was still yellow at 609 and will probably give skill until 615.

Get your 1.6 Spirits of Harmony from the Tillers, 1 Mote of Harmony and 1 Spirit of Harmony from the Isle of Giants and the other 3 Motes of Harmony from mobs in Pandaria. I’d recommend any place packed with mobs, such as the south of Sra’vess.

1 x Jard’s Peculiar Energy Source == 10 Ghost Iron Bars == 20 Ghost Iron Ore

1 x Living Steel == 6 x Trillium Bars == 60 x Ghost Iron Bars == 120 x Ghost Iron Ore

Total: 140 x Ghost Iron Ore per day

(Obviously this does not include the other methods for creating Living Steel or Trillium Bars, because those require rare ingredients and this post is just about the basic daily farming.)

We know this mount is something very expected, so I wanted to inform you about a small visual glitch that is happening with it. At the moment, the name plate attachment is being displayed under the helm when helm is closed. We are aware of this and looking for a solution, will update you as soon as possible!

Have a look at the «rim» around the seat where your character is sitting (on the outside of the mount), the yellow/green’ish rim. Can you see the white male gnome face? Creepy. Some gnome soul stuck in my mount… 0.o

After doing some research, I decided to purchase the 2014 Sky Golem to replace our aging Sandstone Drake mount that I had gotten 2 years earlier. I had never purchased a brand new model WoW mount so we were excited, and couldn’t wait to try it out.

Upon receiving the mount, it looks fantastic, large metal robot, flying capabilities, a real head turner. The ladies really take notice, if you know what I mean.

But the first thing I noticed upon firing it up, was that the mount seems to have a very bad vibration to it. I am not sure if this is perhaps related to bad motor mounts, or maybe the timing is off on the engine, all I know is that I can’t even use the cupholders without shaking and spilling my $4 cup of Starbucks latte. In fact, it shakes so badly that you can’t even visually see what radio station you are watching, much less actually hope to use the buttons on the radio to change the channels or settings if I am unfortunate enough to suddenly have a Justin Bieber song pop up.

Still though I couldn’t wait to get this thing in the air and fly high above the lands of Pandara. After taking off almost immediately the mount developed a troubling characteristic of drifting side to side, I am not sure if there is an issue with the internal GPS locator making constant corrections, but it’s all over the place. I slam into trees and buildings on a regular basis because the freaking thing won’t stay in a straight line.

I certainly hope there is a major recall soon, because, while I love the looks of this mount, these issues are serious and need to be addressed.

To mute some or all of these, just create a blank text document, and rename it and its actual txt file extension, to any or all of the named .ogg files listed below. If you’re a novice Windows user, file extensions may be hidden. You may end up just changing the name of your new text document to «GoblinShredderLoop.ogg» and the reality is you have the file «GoblinShredderLoop.ogg.txt». This won’t work to mute the sound. Just Google «How to show file name extensions in windows explorer» follow those instructions and make sure file extensions are shown.

You can also get a real Silence.ogg file here.
Make a bunch of copies of it, and change the names to match those listed below.

Next you need to know where you installed your World of Warcraft game on your computer.
Create a folder in the World of Warcraft game folder and name it «Sound». (This folder is not there by default. It can be there already if you’ve modified other game sounds before.)
Inside the Sound folder, create another folder called «creature».
Inside the creature folder, create another folder called «GoblinShredder».
When you’re done the file path should read..
World of Warcraft\Sound\creature\GoblinShredder\
It’s inside the GoblinShredder folder that you want to place all the silent ogg files you created.
Start up and log in to your game, mount up and you should no longer hear the sound/s you muted.
